We can think that oil lamps have disappeared, and indeed, the time when only oil lamps were used for lighting has passed.
But today, they are still appreciated for their soft light, and as particularly decorative objects.
So, this small craftsman searches for them... he searches from attics to flea markets, from the pretty room, from the "Parisian" with its "pampilles" and cabochons, to the "student lamp" and its deported light, from the small earthenware lamp with its naive decoration, to the large bourgeois lamp with its worked foot topped by a stone column...
And then, these wonders, he brings them back to his workshop in Turquant, not far from Saumur, with the necessary precautions for these fragile objects that have managed to survive the ages without too much damage.
And then he takes them apart.
And then he fixes them.
And then he's polite.
And then, finally, it presents a completely restored lamp, which has regained all its brilliance, and which works!
