Indeed, the pediment of the Pantheon is the work of David d'Angers! And, by definition, you will not be able to admire it in the astonishing gallery dedicated to it in Angers. This gallery has been installed since 1984 in the abbey church of All Saints' Day, which dates back to the 13th century. The choice of this place leads to a powerful and interesting contrast between the architecture of this period, and the modern forms and materials of the works on display.
Not seeing the pediment of the Pantheon will not detract in any way from your visit, since this artist has made multiple donations to the city where he was born, which ultimately results in an impressive collection of monumental works, commissions (such as the one for the Pantheon, precisely), and, which is very interesting to see the genesis of the works, sketches, clay models and plaster casts.
The museum is located in a typical alleyway of the old Angers, not far from the castle.
