Yeah, I know, the grumblers, the grumpy people, they'll grumble, "well, so what? It's a guesthouse, so what?" And it's true that a guest house is not necessarily unusual! So, why an article about the White House with blue shutters in "Le Grand Ouest Insolite"?
The name...
First of all, the name... okay, it's very personal, but that name, it made me dream right away. We have the right, don't we?
The meals...
The house is superb, and the rooms are delicious... but, on top of that, the table d'hôtes is something else! The guests are "adepts of pure cuisine" which "preserves the natural flavours and ingredients". And you can get inspired by taking a look in the open kitchen. A four-course menu with appropriate wines and drinks is on offer.
The cooking workshop
A cooking workshop? As you can see, little by little, we are moving towards the unusual!
Because a cookery workshop at home is, in fact, a full day.
In the morning, first of all, you'll go shopping on one of the local markets, and that's already nice!
Around lunchtime, a unique oyster picnic will be organized for you!
And then, in the afternoon, you will make the evening meal, accompanied, of course, by the lady of the house who will guide you whatever your level.
And, when dinner time arrives, you will be in charge of announcing and serving yourself the dishes you will have prepared. With a good wine, it's the feast of tasting!
And homemade books...
You won't just leave with memories. If you wish, you can also acquire one of the four cookbooks prepared by your hosts, with recipes, but also anecdotes of the house, and the Breton adventures of the owners who came from far away from this blue-shuttered White House.
