What's a fad?
A marotte, it's a nice word, but it's become a bit obsolete!
In fact, it's a little obsession, a fixed idea, something that we keep harping on...
"Don't make him talk peach, you're not finished... it's his hobby! »
Who knows why, the marrot is also a stick with a head with bells on it, the jester's stick.
And then this stick with a head became the ancestor of the puppet.
And finally, one thing leading to another (it is the case to say it!) the head became a professional object, allowing milliners, or headdress manufacturers, to present their models. Here we are!
The museum of the headdress, "kiss me fast"!
Of course, this museum, discreet in its small alley, uses a lot of fads to present the hairstyles it exhibits. You'll learn that since about 1800, three hairstyles have followed one another, the brunette, kiss me fast, and the pancake... too cute, right?
You will meet volunteer linen cloths who will explain their restoration work, and the techniques used to restore these works of art that punctuated life in the past.
You can also admire a demonstration of bobbin lace, executed by real lacemakers, but you'll have to make arrangements a little in advance, since this is done on request.
