Turquant, unusual village...
On the banks of the Loire, not far from Saumur, there is Turquant, a small village which can really be said to be unusual!
In the summer, it is a pleasure to stroll through its medieval streets, where you will find, among others, many local winegrowers who will be delighted to let you taste their production.
You will also see craftsmen's shops in their troglodyte shops, and you can buy the famous "pommes tapées"!
And then, there is a craftsman who rejuvenates the furniture!
From 1930 to the present day, "Sébastien's Furniture"!
Take an imposing two-body buffet from the 1930s, for example... with all due respect, you can still say it's very... 1930s!
And, nowadays, no one would want to integrate it into their home...
And yet...
And yet, with great know-how, it is possible to give it a new lease of life and, while respecting it, to give it a completely new "look".
This is the job of a craftsman who is very well known in the region, and who practises his unusual trade in his workshop, leaning against the hillside, and pierced, obviously, with troglodytes!
With him, sideboards, cupboards, chests of drawers, bedside tables, not only find a new lease of life, but come to harmonize perfectly with the interior of those who entrust him with their furniture.
