The museum of drinks, until the end!

From the baby bottle to the whisky...

The work of a passionate sommelier, and dedicated to all beverages, the Drinks Museum retraces, no more and no less, the evolution of beverages through the ages! A vast and unusual program!

Thus, it is not surprising that the visit starts, very logically, with baby bottles, then goes through water, coffee, milk, infusions, fruits, cider...

The drinks are then highlighted by regions of Angers, Cholet, Saumur, Angers, ranging from beer and guignolet to whiskey.

The objects and containers are not forgotten, like the amphora, the barrel, the bottle, of course, and the tools of the various professions concerned.

Finally, you will be taken through the history of vineyards and the evolution of production machines.

Archives, documentation center and library

Having for objective to gather a maximum of information, images, and objects on the theme of drinks, and this on the whole territory, the Museum of Drinks has an incredible documentation, and a library which is enriched unceasingly. The whole is managed by an association of which it is necessary to be member to consult this whole.

Animations

Thematic animations are regularly organized, all as interesting as the others: tasting courses, initiation to glass engraving, press animation, olfactory animation, cocktails animation, the casino of drinks, sabrage animation (you know, sabrage, that we all tried at least once... and that we regularly miss!)

And don't think that all this is more or less about alcoholic drinks : every year, on March 22nd, the Musée de la Boisson takes part in the World Water Day, with a visit of the Epervière spring, in Saint-Sylvain d'Anjou, followed by a tasting of various waters, and the unveiling of all the secrets concerning water pumps !
