Louresse-Rochemenier, village... troglodyte!

The village of Louresse-Rochemenier is a cave village on the plain. In other words, unlike the houses that are dug in the hills, this village was dug underground, in a plain, which is very rare.

With about twenty rooms on one hectare, it is a very complete ensemble representative of an ancient peasant life.

He proposes the visit of a "peasant museum", a cave museum including two old farms with dwellings and their outbuildings, an underground chapel, and some "modernized" dwellings!

Furniture, work tools, old photos and hen houses faithfully reproduce the life of the time whose atmosphere still remains today.
