The Museum of Carpet

A whole story...

The oldest carpet in the world is probably the one that was discovered on the borders of Mongolia of Russia and would have about 2500 years! And the largest is the one of the mosque two Abu Dhabi with its 5627 m² and its 47 tons.
This information I gleaned from the website of the Museum of Carpets, which was established in 2018 by the Association Tapis de Tradition.
In the museum, you won't see either, but you will see history, a whole history, wonders of creativity and craftsmanship.
And you can even renew your discoveries, since the presentation is almost entirely renewed each year!

The silk road...

The carpets on display here are normally only seen in books!
It is a very significant panorama of the famous Silk Road, China, Tibet, India, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Caucasus and Turkey.
Ask for a guided tour, very interesting and rewarding.
