The colors of light

Jean Mauret

He was born in an environment of colors and light, since he is the son and grandson of stained glass painters... It is therefore not surprising that he studied art in Nancy, then in Bourges, before settling in 1969 as a glass artist and sculptor in Saint-Hilaire-en-Lignières. From 1974, he will devote himself only to stained glass and, during years, he will restore old stained glass windows, and create contemporary stained glass windows, mainly for historical monuments.

La Grange aux Verrières

At the same time, he opened "La Grange aux Verrières", a place of exhibition and exchange, where the presentation of his works is enriched by those of other artists, and where, on some beautiful summer evenings, music and light mingle...
Jean Mauret now wishes to deepen the exchanges, by creating the conditions for a more personal and intimate approach... this is why, from spring 2022, these meetings will be mainly by appointment.

Beware, you may have lights in your eyes, and colors in your heart!
