A Ty-village, that's all pety!

Imagine some pretty little houses of... 18 square meters on average! It's a ty-village, and it's in Saint-Brieuc !

A first in France
We already knew the tiny-houses, those microscopic houses, often very pretty, mounted on a platform with wheels. This is an Anglo-Saxon concept, which appeared in the United States in 2000.
But this is the first time that some of these houses have been brought together to form a village, a TyVillage!

From polytechnic to student residence
In general, it's when you're preparing for a big school that you live in a student residence. She, she took the problem upside down! First she went to polytechnic, and then she created a "student residence". Her father is the owner of the Armor campus, which is frequented by about a hundred students. And, behind this campus, he also owns a 3500 m² plot of land on which there is... nothing!
And it is thus on this famous land that his daughter decides to create the TyVillage, with the students as the first recipients.

She sees far...
At first glance, one is struck by the "cocooning" side, which is seductive!
But, beyond that, there is also the desire for a different habitat, with very low energy consumption, made entirely of natural local materials. The idea is, in the long term, to create a kind of small ecosystem, with a mix of generations and environments, an environment conducive to exchanges and sharing.
She works with another company, l'Atelier des Branchés, in Saint Didier, not far from Rennes. This company is specialized... in the construction of Tyni-house, of course!

Saint-Brieuc... and then?
It would seem that the concept is attractive, since other projects are in full swing, towards Bordeaux, Montpellier, Nantes... the Saint-Brieuc tyni-house may not remain unusual for long!
