The author of "Maine-et-Loire insolite" and "Berry insolite" continues his search for places, events and festivities that are off the beaten track, as well as artisans, artists and other characters who are out of the ordinary!
He has just published "Loire-Atlantique insolite", with the same publisher.
"Loire-Atlantique insolite" is a hefty 200-page book, presenting 125 well-documented and illustrated discoveries!
On a visit to a bookshop in the département, the author was delighted to hear the woman in charge of the shop tell him how surprised she was: "I've lived here for 25 years, and there are things in the book that I didn't know about!
Unusual?
It's not a question of collecting more or less bizarre elements, whose only interest lies in their strangeness. No, the author's definition of "unusual" corresponds to that which is out of the ordinary and therefore creates surprise, interest, emotion...
And, on this basis, he invites you to discover surprising parks and gardens, to admire unknown places and remarkable buildings, to meet craftsmen, artists and local characters worthy of interest, to visit thematic museums, to take part in the activities, events and shows he describes, to cross great and small history, and finally, to taste life... and local products!
