An anthology of kings
Acquired in 1444 by King René, the "Manoir du Bon Repos", the manor of tournaments, then became the property of Louis XI, Charles XIII, after which it became a private residence. The Manoir de Launay is considered one of the most original and atypical monuments of Anjou.
"Tools, Poetry of the Worker"
The manor houses several remarkable exhibitions. One of them gathers more than 1000 tools, none of which are made by industry. Anvils, carpentry and iron tools, measuring and tracing tools, forestry, carpentry and woodworking tools are presented in this exceptional setting.
The whole is supported by a spirit, that of the association "Outils, Poésie ouvrière", which sees the dream, the creative vision, and in short the poetry of the working man in all his unique tools.
Today, it is animated by a group of passionate volunteers, who would be very happy to see new enthusiasts join them...
