Farmers' home at the biquettes

Accueil Paysan...

On its website, "Accueil Paysan" clearly states that it is "the countryside with open arms, for a different kind of vacation"!
It is a 1901 association, a network of farmers and rural actors, committed to both peasant agriculture and "sustainable, fair and solidarity-based" tourism.
This network includes about 1200 structures in France and abroad, which propose an educational and social tourist reception.
Why am I talking to you about this group, which is a bit unusual in the rather "marketing" world of tourism? Well, simply because "la ferme des Places" is part of it...

The farm of Places

As its name indicates it, it is a farm! It has this of particular that, on its 13 hectares, it raises about forty horned goats in organic farming. And all the production is transformed at the farm. You can enjoy small goat cheeses, faisselle, organic yoghurts made from 100% whole goat milk, or goat milk soap!
After the visit, after dinner, you will probably want to go to sleep and you will have the choice between a small house for six to ten people, a guest room, and even an authentic caravan!
And then, in the morning, after having greeted the rising sun (or a little later if you want!), you will go to say a small hello to the herd which, since about fifty years, benefits from meadows cultivated without fertilizer, without pesticide...
